Precinct Election Officials are Needed for the November Election

Workers are needed for the 2012 General Election to be held on November 6, 2012. Precinct election officials are currently paid $7.25 per hour.

Primary Election Absentee Voting and
Sample Ballots

Ballots will be available for absentee voting at the courthouse on April 26th.

The Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012.

Training Dates for the NEW CARRY LAW

All dates for classes that have already been given have been removed. Below is the only currently scheduled class date. If/when other classes are scheduled they will be added.

March 27, 2012 at 1:00pm

Please Note: All classes are held at Starr's Cave Nature Center in the Loft (upstairs), unless otherwise noted. Starr's Cave Nature Center is located at 11627 Starr's Cave Road Burlington, Iowa 52601.

It will probably take 2-3 hours. You will need to bring your driver’s license or ID with your current address on it. There will be a $90 fee that will be collected the day of the class. We will only accept cash and checks. The application for the new carry permit will be filled out at the class.

YOU WILL HAVE TO CONTACT THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO SIGN UP FOR TRAINING DATES.

WE ARE LIMITING THE CLASS TO 50 PEOPLE AND YOU HAVE TO BE ON THE LIST IN ORDER TO ATTEND.
